Itinerary
DAY 1:(PICK UP IN SURABAYA - ACCOMMODATION IN IJEN CRATER AREA)
The Bromo-Ijen tour will begin in Surabaya. We will pick you up at your
hotel, airport, or train station. From Surabaya, we will drive to your
accommodation in the Ijen Crater area (Bondowoso City), a 6-7-hour drive
with several stops.
Upon arrival, check in and have free time.
(You can explore the area around your hotel or just relax and enjoy your
stay before embarking on the Ijen Crater tour.)
DAY 2:(IJEN CRATER BLUE FIRE TOUR - ACCOMMODATION IN MOUNT BROMO AREA)
The Ijen Crater tour will begin at 12:00 PM. Our staff will pick you up
from your hotel or villa in the Bondowoso area. The journey will
continue to Paltuding (the starting point), approximately 2 hours from
downtown Bondowoso.
The hike will begin at 2:00 AM. From here, it will take 1.5 hours to
climb the slopes of the Ijen Crater (a trail approximately 3.5 km long).
Along the walking trail, you'll enjoy stunning natural scenery, fresh
air, and the chirping of birds.
Upon reaching the summit of the Ijen Crater at an altitude of
approximately 2,386 meters above sea level, you will be greeted by the
blue fire.
If you wish to see the blue fire phenomenon, the journey continues to
the crater floor. This journey takes approximately 30 minutes, with
slightly dangerous terrain due to the many rocks and sand that make it a
bit slippery. Once you reach the sulfur area, you will be able to
witness the beauty of the blue fire. (Blue fire is a unique natural
phenomenon caused by the combustion of sulfur gas emitted from the
crater of Mount Ijen, and is naturally occurring.)
Please note that the descent to the crater floor and the descent to the
lake is not equipped with safe equipment for both descent and ascent. We
strongly advise against attempting this descent.
Otherwise, the tour organizers are not responsible for any potential consequences.
After enjoying the beautiful blue flames, continue the climb back to the
summit.
In the morning, around 5:30 AM, you will be amazed by the breathtaking
panorama of the Ijen Crater, which features an acidic lake with
turquoise water. The view is especially beautiful if you take photos
above the crater. Beyond the scenery, you will see sulfur miners
descending into the crater to extract sulfur and ascending back up,
navigating a precarious path along the edge of the crater, carrying 40-
70 kilograms of weight on their shoulders. This is dangerous and
difficult work.
After enjoying the breathtaking views of the Ijen Crater, we'll descend
to the parking area where our car will be waiting to take you back to
your hotel for breakfast and to collect your bags. Before departing for
the Mount Bromo area, the journey will take approximately 4 hours with
several stops.

DAY 3:(BROMO SUNRISE TOUR - DROP OFF AT SURABAYA)
The Mount Bromo Sunrise Tour will begin around 3:00 AM from your hotel.
The jeep will take you to the most famous viewpoint in the Mount Bromo
area, Penanjakan/King Kong Hill. From there, you can see the best
sunrise in East Java with a backdrop of mountains and volcanoes.
(Optional: If you're visiting Mount Bromo on a weekend, the tour can
start earlier or you can enjoy the sunrise from the Bromo crater to
avoid the crowds.)
After you've had your fill of the beautiful views of Mount Bromo, we'll
return to the jeep and continue your adventure until you reach the sea
of sand in the Mount Bromo area.
We'll stop at the parking area, then cross the sea of sand on horseback
or on foot until you reach the stairs on the slopes of Mount Bromo that
will take you to the summit.
After enjoying the volcanic activity at the summit of Mount Bromo,
you'll return to your jeep, which will take you back to your hotel for
breakfast, showering, packing, and loading your bags into our car.
Afterward, we'll continue our journey to the Surabaya area, which will
take approximately 3 hours.
Upon arrival in Surabaya, we'll take you to your hotel, the airport, or
the train station (where the tour ends).
Then, our trip finished.
