Itinerary
DAY 1:(SURABAYA - ACOMMODATION IN TUMPAKSEWU WATERFALL AREA)
The Tumpaksewu-Bromo & Ijen tour will begin in Surabaya. The crew will pick you up at your hotel, airport, or train station. From Surabaya, we'll drive to your accommodation in the Tumpaksewu area, a 4-hour journey with several stops.
Upon arrival at your accommodation, check in and have free time.
(You can explore the area around your hotel or just relax and enjoy your stay before your Tumpaksewu tour.)
OPTIONAL PROGRAM (No Additional Cost)
If you can depart early in the morning and the weather is good, you can visit Jodipan Rainbow Village in Malang on the way from Surabaya to your hotel in the Tumpaksewu area. Please check out the pictures of Jodipan Rainbow Village online.
DAY 2:(EXPLORE TUMPAKSEWU WATERFALL - ACOMMODATION IN BONDOWOSO)
The Tumpak Sewu Waterfall tour will begin at 6 a.m.
Upon arrival at Tumpak Sewu Waterfall, our guide will accompany you to the Panorama viewpoint, offering a 180-degree panoramic view of the waterfall.
After enjoying the view, we'll descend to the base of the waterfall, taking photos from various angles. The descent can be slippery due to the wet conditions, but newly constructed bamboo ladders and cement steps are available.
There are also sturdy ropes to hold onto as you traverse the trail, with water trickling down the rocks.
(Suitable footwear and a waterproof bag are recommended.)
This activity will take approximately 3 hours, depending on your level of involvement with the waterfall.
After exploring the waterfall, we'll return to the hotel for breakfast before continuing to our next destination, the Ijen Crater (Bondowoso), which is a 4-hour drive from Tumpak Sewu Waterfall. Along the way, we'll pass through rural landscapes, small towns, rice paddies, plantations, and beaches.
For lunch, we can take you to a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, we will arrive at your hotel in Bondowoso City, a 2-hour drive from the Ijen Crater. You will spend the night and rest here before enjoying the Ijen Crater trek the next morning.
DAY 3:(IJEN CRATER BLUE FIRE TOUR - ACOMMODATION IN MOUNT BROMO)
The Ijen Crater tour will begin at 11:30 PM. Our staff will pick you up from your hotel or villa in the Bondowoso area. The journey will continue to Paltuding (the starting point), which is approximately 2 hours from downtown Bondowoso.
The hike will begin at 2:00 AM. From here, it will take you 1.5 hours to climb the slopes of the Ijen Crater (with a trail length of approximately 3.5 km). Along the walking trail, you will enjoy stunning natural scenery, fresh air, and birdsong.
Upon reaching the summit of the Ijen Crater, at an altitude of approximately 2,385 meters above sea level, you will be able to witness the blue fire phenomenon.
If you wish to see the blue fire phenomenon, continue to the crater floor. This journey takes approximately 30 minutes, with slightly dangerous terrain due to the many rocks and sand along the trail, making it a bit slippery. Once you reach the sulfur area, you will be able to enjoy the beauty of the blue fire. (Blue fire is a unique natural phenomenon caused by the combustion of sulfur gas emitted from the crater of Mount Ijen, and is naturally occurring.)
Please note that the descent to the crater floor and the descent to the lake are not equipped with safety equipment for the descent and ascent. We strongly advise against attempting to descend into the crater. Otherwise, the tour organizers are not responsible for any potential consequences.
After enjoying the beauty of the blue fire, continue your climb back to the summit.
In the morning, around 5:00 AM, you'll be captivated by the stunning panorama of the Ijen Crater, featuring an acidic lake with turquoise water. The view is especially beautiful if you take photos above the crater. Beyond the scenery, you'll also see sulfur miners descending into the crater to extract sulfur and ascending back up along a treacherous path along the edge of the crater, carrying 40-70 kilograms of weight on their shoulders. This is dangerous and difficult work.
After enjoying the breathtaking views of the Ijen Crater, we'll descend to the parking area where our car will be waiting to take you back to your hotel for breakfast and to collect your bags. Before departing for the Mount Bromo area, the journey will take approximately 4 hours with several stops.

DAY 4:(MOUNT BROMO SUNRISE TOUR - SURABAYA)
The Mount Bromo Sunrise Tour will begin around 3:00 AM from your hotel. Your jeep will take you to the most famous viewpoint in the Mount Bromo area, Penanjakan (King Kong Hill). From there, you can see the best sunrise in East Java with a backdrop of mountains and volcanoes.
(Optional: If you're visiting Mount Bromo on a weekend, the tour can start earlier or you can enjoy the sunrise from the Bromo crater to avoid the crowds.)
After you've had your fill of the beautiful views of Mount Bromo, we'll return to the jeep and continue your adventure until you reach the sea of sand in the Mount Bromo area.
We'll stop at the parking area, then traverse the sea of sand on horseback or on foot until you reach the stairs on the slopes of Mount Bromo that will lead you to the summit.
After enjoying the volcanic activity at the summit of Mount Bromo, you'll return to your jeep, and it will take you back to your hotel for breakfast, showering, packing, and loading your bags.
After that, we'll continue our journey to the Surabaya area, which will take about 3 hours.
Upon arrival in Surabaya, we will take you to your hotel, airport, or train station (where the tour ends).
Then our trip ends.
